These references back the platform statements made in Fiction Profits Academy advertising and workshop materials. They describe how Amazon KDP and the self-publishing market work. They do not verify participant earnings.

Income Disclosure and Instructor Results
Fiction Profits Academy teaches people how to publish fiction ebooks on Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing. We do not take a share of student royalties. Amazon pays royalties directly to the publisher of each book. The workshop is free. FPA also sells paid training.
Student survey
The survey runs on SurveyMonkey and was sent by email to people who had purchased a Fiction Profits Academy program. It opened in July 2025 and remains open. Respondents were entered into a raffle for five $500 prizes. Responses are self-reported and were not verified against Amazon royalty statements. Not every buyer responded, and respondents may differ from those who did not respond. As of September 17, 2026 there were 1,700 responses.

The averages by books published shown in our advertising disclaimer come from this question. Figures are gross revenue before advertising and other costs. Some respondents in every group reported $0.

This is a business, and it comes with risk. We share real student results, but big earnings are rare and NOT typical. In a student survey running since July 2025, 1,700 students had responded as of September 2026: 1,197 had not yet published a book, and 503 had published at least one, including 12 who had published 21 or more. Average monthly gross revenue by books published, from the July 2025 snapshot of 1,583 responses, was: 1 book $90, 2 to 3 books $368, 4 to 5 books $185, 6 to 9 books $827, 10 to 14 books $3,039, 15 to 20 books $2,475, and 21+ books $6,064. In every group, some earned nothing and a few earned much more. Figures are self-reported and before costs. We guarantee no income.
